CROWN CASTLE INTERNATIONAL APPOINTS RICHARD BOBBETT AS
ITS NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR, TELECOMS
Warwick, Tuesday,
5th September, 2000 - Crown Castle UK Limited, a subsidiary of Crown
Castle International Corp. - the independent supplier of sites and services
to operators - today announced the appointment of Richard Bobbett as its
new Managing Director, Telecoms. This is a newly created post that has
come about as a result of structural changes announced in June 2000. Richard
officially joined Crown Castle on Friday 1st September from Dolphin Telecommunications
where he was previously Vice-President, European Operations.
Mr. Bobbett will take
responsibility for Crown Castle UK's entire telecommunications business,
reporting directly to Bob Giles, President and Chief Operating Officer.
His specific areas of responsibility include site acquisition, sales,
RF design, site build, transmission services and structural engineering.
Beginning his career
as an apprentice with the Post Office, Richard has since held positions
in the cable and telecommunications industries with Vodafone, Comcast,
Telewest and Dolphin Telecommunications.
