Crown Castle International acquires Terracom, one of the UK's leading site acquisition companies

Warwick, 17 July 2000, Crown Castle UK Limited ("Crown Castle"), a subsidiary of Crown Castle International Corp. (NASDAQ: TWRS), today announced that it has purchased Terracom Estates Ltd, a market leader in UK site acquisition. Terracom is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Crown Castle UK Limited.

The addition of a specialist acquisition company to support Crown Castle's expanding UK business base is indicative of the company's growth and the increasing prominence and importance being paid to property acquisition and network expansion. Crown Castle has also announced the creation of a new post, Director, Property & Site Acquisition - Wes Huff, a property expert from the US, has recently been appointed to this position. He is responsible for the company's property and site acquisition effort. In his new capacity, Wes will oversee the assimiliation of Terracom into the Crown Castle property programme.

Terracom was formed in 1995 and provides consultancy in acquisition, planning, design, estates and project management, primarily to the telecommunications industry. The Terracom brand name will be retained and their 70 + staff will continue to work from Terracom's six regional offices in Meriden (Midlands), Newbury, Harrogate, Bristol and Edinburgh and Belfast.
